Controlling in-plant logistics by deploying RFID system in the item-level manufacturing : a case study

RFID systems are being used in the industries to follow the manufacturing environment by tagging objects where keeping track has a value. The recent research about RFID systems mainly focused on monitoring assets to control shop floor operations in real time. This case study has focused on deployment and improvement of an RFID system with a purpose of choose optimum system installation. The investigation of the production area, collecting item flow data and developing the relational database. The data that has been attained from the system can be used to control internal plant logistics and provide support in order to improve shop floor operations. This kind of RFID system used in industry can be very useful in order to increase the speed of production and regulate the work flow

ANALISIS PERAWATAN MESIN CHAIN SCRAPER CONVEYOR DI PT. CEMINDO GEMILANG BAYAH

Teknologi pada abad 21 memiliki peran yang penting dalam perubahan hidup manusia, salah satu perubahan tersebut yaitu penggunaan mesin-mesin yang mulai menggantikan peranan manusia, sebagai contoh peranan manusia yang digantikan oleh mesin adalah perpindahan barang. Konveyor menjadi salah satu mesin yang umum digunakan dalam memindahkan barang dari satu tempat ke tempat yang lain, konveyor terdapat berbagai jenis seperti belt conveyor, chain conveyor, roller conveyor dan lainnya. Di PT. Cemindo Gemilang Bayah mesin konveyor yang dipakai adalah chain scraper yang digunakan untuk mengangkut material berupa fly ash dari boiler menuju clingker silo. Kerusakan merupakan hal yang lumrah terjadi padi mesin, untuk mencegah hal tersebut maka hal yang harus dilakukan adalah melakukan perawatan pada mesin tersebut. Perawatan adalah suatu perpaduan dari serangkaian kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk mengelola dan memperbaiki mesin agar terjamin kesiapan operasionalnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perawatan preventif pada mesin chain scraper di PT. Cemindo Gemilang Bayah. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang hasilnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Dengan hasil pembahasannya yaitu perawatan yang dilakukan terhadap mesin chain scraper meliputi perawatan pencegahan dan perawatan korektif. Pada perawatan preventif dilakukan tindakan adjusment pada chain dengan cara mengencangkan spring, cleaning pada bagian rotary feeder dengan cara dibersihkan menggunakan linggis atau benda panjang lainnya. dan inspection pada gearbox  dengan cara mengkur vibrasi pada gearbox serta melakukan pelumasan pada bearing, sedangkan pada perawatan korektif dilakukan tindakan replacement untuk komponen seperti teflon rod, rubber kopling, spring, bearing, chain, casing, dan reparation pada casing chain scraper dengan cara melakukan penambalan menggunakan silikon dan las

Bilateral Intracranial Subacute Subdural Hematoma After Lumbar Epidural Steroid Injection: Case Report

Epidural steroid administration is a frequently used method for the treatment of chronic back pain. Major complications range from transient headache and pain on injection site to hemorrhage. Dural puncture occured while injecting the second epidural steroid dosage to a 24-year-old male patient with lumbar disc hernia. After 6 days, the patient was hospitalized due to persistent headache; he was discharged with appropriate recommendations when his headache resolved after 6 days of treatment. However, he presented to the pain clinic with headache, nausea and vomiting on the 13. day of discharge (i.e. 25 days after the second epidural injection). MR imaging revealed hemorrhagic subdural effusion and diffuse dural thickening. Hematoma was evacuated surgically and the patient was discharged on the 5. postoperative day without neurological deficits. Eventhough the first explanation that comes to our mind is postdural puncture for headache occuring after epidural applications, it should not be forgotten that one might encounter rare life-threatening complications like subdural hematomas. In our patient who did not have neurological deficits and was thought to have postdural puncture headache, the change and increase in symptoms led us to consider intracranial hemorrhage. Our patient was diagnosed in the subacute period, treated appropriately and discharged without neurological deficits. To our knowledge, this the first case reported in the literature for bilateral subdural hematoma occuring after epidural steroid injection. Patients presenting with headache after dural puncture should be followed carefully for intracranial hemorrhage, and further examinations carried out when judged necessary
